Streamlining Crop to Cup
The tea industry is centuries old. As such, it is bloated with a long and convoluted, multi-layered supply chain. Producers, processors, importers, exporters, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, brokers, and others have added to an ever-expanding chasm between crop and cup; between the small, family farm tea producers and tea drinkers. But this is changing.
Today tea drinkers are demanding transparency and sustainable practices from the industry. Increasingly, they want to know who is producing their tea and the methods being used. It’s why Chai House is dedicated to bridging the gap between our tea drinkers and the family farmers who grow our teas.
